Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Michael Palma earned degrees from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, West Virginia University, and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He specializes in craniofacial pain and craniofacial orthodontics. Due to this passion, he is part of the peer review committee in all 50 states. Dr. Palma treats a variety of complex cases, which has in turn developed an extensive experience base.

In his free time, Dr. Palma enjoys spending time with his family, including his four children, as well as traveling. Currently, Dr. Palms practices at our Medina, Lockbourne and Niles locations to help make visits more convenient for patients. He enjoys his profession day in and day out, and admires seeing positive changes in his patients’ self-confidence, attitude and outlook. Dr. Palma focuses his efforts on helping anyone in need and believes in service above self.

Dr. Naeemah Lewis graduated with her undergraduate degree from Ohio State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery and Orthodontic certificate from Howard University in 2007 before completing her orthodontic residency at Nova Southeastern University. 

Dr. Lewis specializes in orthodontics and strives to remain up to date with the latest technology trends and treatment modalities. She is constantly learning and regularly attends conferences to continue her education and ensure she provides the greatest quality of care to all of her patients. Dr. Lewis enjoys orthodontics because it allows her to combine her love for science and art, while having the ability to service people and transform lives by improving their smile.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lewis is an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering on her hometown teams—especially the Browns, Cavs and Ohio State Buckeyes. She also enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Kevin Hallgarth was born and raised in Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Following dental school, he remained in Kansas City to complete a one-year general practice residency at a local hospital.

Dr. Hallgarth taught in the periodontics department of his dental school in Kansas City. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency at Loyola University in Chicago before moving to Northeast Ohio with his wife. Dr. Hallgarth practices orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in Ohio.

He and his wife have four children. In his free time, he enjoys attending his children’s events and spending time with his family, along with jogging, bike riding, and attending church functions.

After a childhood spent in St. Louis, San Antonio, Houston and Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr. Brandon Luckett earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physics at Morehouse College. He then went on to attend Texas A&M University, Baylor College of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Luckett completed his general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. From his time there, he has extensive experience with surgical dentistry in the hospital setting, including reconstructing fractured jaws and treating patients for life-threatening dental infections.

Dr. Luckett practiced general dentistry for three years in the Houston area before returning to New York to complete his orthodontic training at NYU Langone. During his residency, he gained

further experience treating a variety of different malocclusions including those that needed surgical intervention.

Human interaction is Dr. Luckett’s favorite part of working in health care. He loves having the opportunity to learn from different people and listen to their experiences as he helps them toward their orthodontic goals. Dr. Luckett thrives on positive energy and hopes to pass that on to all patients working toward a healthy smile. 

Dr. Luckett’s hobbies include playing tennis, watching football, and traveling internationally, especially to beach destinations.

Dr. Moshood Martins, fondly called Dr. Mo by patients, is a native of Houston, Texas. His mission to serve the world with a better smile began after graduating from the University of Houston, where he played Division I basketball for the Cougars. He went on to pursue a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry and later a master’s degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Seton Hill Center for Orthodontics.

Dr. Mo enjoys enhancing the lives of both adolescents and adults, one smile at a time, through comprehensive orthodontic care. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and National Dental Association. In addition to his years of schooling, Dr. Mo volunteered his time and dental services to those who have limited access to dental care in Uganda, Africa. His appreciation for kids further led him to volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters. 

His passion to create more opportunities and spread access for students in higher education inspired him to develop a scholarship fund in the name of his mother to dental students at Howard University.

In his leisure time, Dr. Mo enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, experiencing different cultures, and mentoring youth.

Dr. Ambika Sharma received her MS and BS from the University of Connecticut, her dental degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, her MPH (Master of Public Health) degree from the University of Connecticut School of Public Health and did her residency at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She also has completed her Orthodontic Residency.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Sharma is passionate about crafting beautiful smiles and creating confidence in her patients. She is interested in using state-of-the-art orthodontic technology and an inter-disciplinary approach to deliver the best results for her patients. As a public health professional, she has a deep passion for tackling systematic disparities in dental health as well.

Dr. Sharma enjoys dentistry because it’s a field that involves problem solving, creativity and personal relationships. She loves approaching each patient as a unique individual and tailoring a treatment plan that works or them. She also loves getting to know her patients.

Dr. Sharma pursued a career in dentistry because she volunteered at her local dentist’s office, when she was in high school, and realized it was a field in which scientific knowledge is blended with dexterous execution. Working as an orthodontist is a dream come true for Dr Sharma; not only does she feel challenged and excited each day of work but it’s also so fulfilling to see her patients grow into their most confident selves.

In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, beach volleyball or hiking with her husband. She loves experiencing new cultures and traveling the world. Dr. Sharma was a competitive Indian dancer for over a decade! While her competition days are behind her, she still continues to choreograph and perform. She hopes to one day open a dance school next to her orthodontic practice. She also speaks Hindi.

Dr. Morcos earned his Bachelor’s in Dental Medicine and Oral Surgery, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Cairo University; his Masters in Orthodontics and Faculty of Dentistry at Suez Canal University; and an additional Masters in Orthodontics from Case Western Reserve University.

After attending a Joint Supervision Program, Dr. Morcos earned his PhD in Orthodontics. He then completed a Clinical Orthodontic Craniofacial Fellowship through the University of Illinois and continues to broaden his education on the following topics: DSD digital smile design, Invisalign, 3D digital workflow, Micro Implant Anchorage Orthodontics (MIAO), and the DAMON system.

Dr. Morcos is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, International Association for Dental Research, American Association for Dental Research, American Dental Education Association, American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, Egyptian Orthodontic Association, Charles H. Tweed International Foundation, Cleveland Society of Orthodontics, and GLAO Great Lakes Association of Orthodontics.

Among his list of memberships, Dr. Morcos also has a long list of accomplishments, including making the final list in 2010 and 2011 for the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award on American Association of Orthodontics annual session. Dr. Morcos was also selected as a chairperson at multiple events (Distraction Osteogenesis, Orthognathic Surgery section -April, 2009 Miami Convention Center; IADR/AADR/CADR 87^th General Session and Exhibition – April, 2009.) He also participated in the 20^th Clinic and Research Day, (February 2007) through University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry. There, Dr. Morcos was awarded 1^st place in the literature review category for “Perception of Attractiveness of Well-Balanced Lips.” (Sherif Morcos, Manisha Sisodia, Patricia Alves, Zhao Linping, Pravin Patel, Adriana Da Silveira.) Dr. Morcos’ background has given him a diverse outlook and experience in his education and professional life. He moved to Cleveland, OH in 2017. Spending time with his wife (Fiby) and son (Chris) is something he enjoys most. Singing, travelling, and watching soccer games are also activities that Dr. Morcos enjoys.

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Johnny Joseph received his DMD at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine after receiving his undergraduate degree from Stonehill College in Massachusetts. Dr. Joseph then went on to complete his pediatric dental residency from NYU Langone Health. He specializes in pediatric dentistry, pediatric sedation, and interceptive orthodontics.

His passion for dentistry started at a young age due to the positive impact his childhood dentist had on him. He strives to help educate parents on how to care for their children’s oral health, preventing caries and other oral health complications. He is committed to expanding access to quality and affordable pediatric oral care to all children.

Dr. Joseph enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but is energized by the relationships he forms with his patients and their families. In his free time, he loves to be outside hiking, biking, running, or just lying on the beach hearing the crashing waves. He also enjoys cooking and playing football and basketball.
